Dizygotes1 & Dizygotes2
75% Pinot Noir – 15% Chardonnay – 10% Pinot Meunier
The two cuvées «Dizygotes1 Tirage Liège» and «Dizygote2 Tirage Capsule» are to be tasted in parallel.
Fake twins, they share a blend that is identical in every way: same years and same grape varieties, same vinification, same extra-brut dosage and same aging time but… one bottled Liège, the other bottled Capsule. A fun approach to tasting that highlights the difference in the dimension of aging under cork or under capsule.
This blend reflects the grape varieties of our vineyard, with a strong Pinot Noir dominance: the Montagne de Reims where the winery is located with the villages of Ecueil, Sacy and Villers aux Noeuds classified as Premier Cru; the Ardre Valley with pretty sunny hillsides on the terroirs of Branscourt, Mery-Premecy and Treslon.
The base year 2017 (60%), is completed by 40% of reserve wines (Solera since 2010), kept in thermo-regulated vats or in 300-litre oak barrels. The extra-brut dosage at 3g/L allows the expression of the wine to be appreciated as close as possible to its original nature. More than 4 years of aging for this BSA complete the originality of these cuvées to be discovered as a duo.
